About the role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Lawyer has arisen within our existing internal Group Legal team which has seen significant growth within the last few years. The thriving team manage high profile matters right across NFU Mutual and take a proactive approach to their work, truly partnering with the internal client base, driving efficiencies and adding real commercial value.



This is a pivotal role which will support the whole business with a clear focus on technology and commercial work to include all aspects of technology law, outsourcing, software and hardware agreements, service agreements, digital, data protection, IT security, new technology, data centres, telecoms, procurement services and industry specific commercial matters.


This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, forward thinking Commercial Lawyer seeking a new challenge or the opportunity to move in-house.

What we’re looking for

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with significant technology and commercial  law experience gained either within a reputable international/national firm or an in-house function. You will be technically excellent with a proven background in dealing with large scale, high value IT contracts and projects. You will develop, maintain, negotiate and renew legal documents including third party contracts and contract precedents in order to identify and minimise legal risks to the organisation and fulfil business and regulatory requirements. You must have experience in managing competing demands and be able to manage stakeholders’ expectations with a proven ability to establish a high degree of trust and respect. You will deliver timely legal advice to the business and project teams and must be resilient and confident with the ability to work with variety of stakeholders and to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.  Experience of working a regulated environment is desirable but not essential.
