  • Salary of up to £47k + up to 17.5% bonus + extensive benefits package

About the role

About the role:

  • Create and manage the development of materials to provide the agency network with the tools and insight into commercial sectors, to achieve NFU Mutual’s growth aspirations.

  • Work closely with the Marketing team(s) to implement campaigns and initiatives

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to drive cross sales and GWPI growth throughout the agency network.

  • Engage with key stakeholders, including Strategy, Marketing, Claims and Underwriting teams to develop

  • Co-ordinate sales communications to drive commercial new business growth.


  • Anticipate, assess and research core markets, advising and collaborating as a subject matter expert with other key areas of the Regional Sales team and wider business teams such as HO Propositions, Marketing and Underwriting, to develop and enhance the proposition to strengthen our position in core sectors, continually looking for areas to enhance and improve.

  • Create, deliver and own targeted prospecting toolkits to support the growth of commercial business, collaborating and providing expert advice, briefing key internal stakeholders and 3rd party organisations, where appropriate, to promote the NFUM commercial proposition.

  • Create, manage and own Commercial Hub documentation and material, ensuring compliance and quality requirements are met. Responsible & accountable for continuous improvement and developing usage of the Commercial Hub, through working closely with Regional Teams and agencies.

  • Working collaboratively with the Marketing, Propositions, Product and other teams, in order to plan, write and publish suitable content, both internally and externally to promote the NFU Mutual brand and Commercial offering

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Regional Management Marketing and Propositions teams as a Subject Matter Expert to implement and drive the on-going and proactive sales initiatives within the regions and Agency Network.

  • Collaborating with the Complex Corporate and Regional Teams, to strategically distribute commercial prospecting data to the agency network, driving increased prospecting activity through stakeholder engagement and creating clear action plans with agencies

  • Deliver short term / one-off projects and activities as required by and to the standards and outcomes agreed with Line Manager.

About you

  • Background in either marketing or communication roles.

  • Experience in building creative briefs to support a wider strategic goal.

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and organisational skills.

  • Experience of working within a Financial Services, regulated sales environment.

  • Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • Experience of working with and engaging key stakeholders
