The Role

We have a vacancy within our busy customer services department. This role offers a varied work environment handling a range of requests from our customers. You will form a key part of our service to our policyholders and third parties.


Job Specification

Key responsibilities

  • Processing changes to personal and policy details across the range of NFU Mutual financial services products

  • Investigate, resolve and advise on incoming queries from customers, other financial service operation teams, sales force and third parties

  • Log, investigate, resolve and escalate customer complaints, identifying opportunities for service improvement and ensuring outcomes are fair and delivered in line with Service Level Agreements

  • Test IT systems and processes to ensure changes and updates are effective and that there are no adverse or unplanned effects

  • Deliver short term / one-off projects and activities as required

Person Specification

  • Communicate effectively both written & verbally with customers, colleagues & internal business contacts

  • Aspire to get things right first time and take pride in the quality and accuracy of their work

  • Enjoy working in a changing environment and can prioritise work effectively

  • Are highly motivated to achieve their own and their team’s objectives and have a passion for the development of their skills & experience

  • Work well as part of a team


5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English & Maths – Grade C or above
