Apply nowData is a fast-growing area within NFU Mutual, particularly customer data and to support this we are looking for an experienced Data Engineering Manager to join our existing Customer Data and Analytics team. This is a truly exciting opportunity; Data Engineering is a brand-new service offering within NFU Mutual and the successful candidate will be responsible for driving and implementing change. You will also define, develop and manage the onboarding of customer data sources to the cloud platform, strategically planning the sequencing of this to align with business requirements. The successful candidate will also lead and manage a team of two Data Engineers and will work closely with the Head of Customer Data to develop Engineering Capability embedding industry leading tooling and best practices.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in design and development of operational data stores, data warehouses, and/or data mart. Strong experience integrating multiple source data systems into a single data model is key. Experience with cloud-based technologies, ELT and analytical software, specifically SQL Server, Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory or similar is essential as is software and data project management software delivery using Azure Dev Ops or similar. SQL experience and skills are essential as is stakeholder’s engagement and management. Strong attention to details and strong analytical skills are a must.
