Apply nowWe have an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist/Analyst (known as a Data Analytics Auditor internally) to join our Internal Audit team.
You’ll be part of a team of audit experts who help the Board and Executive Management at NFU Mutual to protect our assets, our reputation, and the sustainability of the organisation.
We assess if significant risks are being identified across our business and whether these risks are being adequately controlled. We also make recommendation for improvements concerning governance, risk management and internal controls.
You’ll gain experience delivering insightful quantitative and qualitative analysis to a range of stakeholders and have the chance to work with a variety of data sources from across our divisions. You’ll have a unique insight across all divisions which will allow you to spot trends and to explore possible correlations that others may not have been able to see.
Through the support of the team, you will provide value-adding insight, build MI data dashboards, and grow our audit analytic library to support autonomous control evaluation. You’ll undertake technical reviews, always sharing best practice, and strive to strengthen our control environment.
This role is based in our Lakehouse office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work-life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.
You use your knowledge of analytics and statistics to deliver top quality insight. With a focus on reporting, you’re a data science professional who has expertise in Excel and data analysis/visualisation tools (such as Tableau and PowerBI). A strong programmer, you’ll have experience using systems data analytics systems and languages to solve problems and deliver value.
A natural communicator, you will build relationships with a range of stakeholders, and you’ll be able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audience.
You’ll thrive on investigation and analysis, and you’ll understand how operational and transactional data can be harnessed to provide assurance over business risks and utilised to flag emerging issues.
