We are hiring for a Finance Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team at our head office in Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Reporting to the Senior Business Partner for our General Insurance business, you will add value to the team through your insight and analysis of profitability. Supporting with the production of reporting, you will ensure our processes and controls are effective, and that the output of our analysis provides valuable insight to enable us to make well informed decisions.

Duties will include:

  • Collate, communicate and analyse Statutory accounts and Financial/Management reports to support effective decision making and meet regulatory requirements.

  • Design, develop and implement solutions for the provision of financial/management reporting that meet customer and governance requirements.

  • Monitor, validate and maintain data and systems to ensure consistency and integrity of reporting.

  • Analyse, investigate and provide interpretation of financial and management data. Identify trends and explore the underlying reasons behind the data.

  • Forecast claims cost and profitability to enable effective control and management of budgets and performance.

  • Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders within the Department and within the wider business.

About you

Experience and Knowledge

  • Strong analysis skills – particularly Excel data manipulation and analysis

  • Experience working on multiple projects, managing your time effectively, and achieving projects in line with expectations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Confidence presenting to varied audiences (including Senior Management)

  • Ability to explain complex financial information to financial and non-financial audiences.

  • Strong problem solving and an inquisitive mind to understand the story behind the numbers


  • Studying towards a recognised qualification in finance/analysis or equivalent experience in financial analysis.
