Motor Injury Claims Handler

About the role

As an Injury Claims Handler within our Large Corporate Insurance Department, you’ll be a part of a customer-focused team who handles Motor Injury Claims (both MOJ and OIC) for our largest clients through to settlement. As well as providing a first-class service to our clients, you’ll ensure your portfolio of claims are managed within acceptable cost parameters.

You will be a more senior member of the team and will coach, mentor and guide more junior team members on complex claims to help improve their knowledge and support effective decision making. Additionally, you’ll carry out quality reviews on claims and provide constructive feedback to Handlers.

We’re a team that places a heavy focus on employee development, and so there will be opportunities for you to volunteer to work on projects that drive improvements for the team as well as opportunities to deputise for the Team Leaders and Senior Technicians where necessary.

About you

We are seeking a driven and proactive professional with a strong team ethic along who is able to demonstrate;

  • A good level of recent Injury claims handling experience

  • Sound judgement and an ability to make effective decisions

  • Strong communication and effective negotiation skills

Ideally, you will also have experience of supporting less experienced team members as well as experience of conducting quality reviews.
