Performance Data Consultant – Underwriting

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Performance Data Consultant to join our Head Office Underwriting team to support the performance team with business analysis of large-scale underwriting and performance data sets. This is a high profile role which will offer exposure to Senior Management and will give you the opportunity to interact with and build up valuable knowledge of various parts of the business. As a Data Performance Consultant, you will be responsible for;

• Building and managing a large scale data interrogation infrastructure for Underwriting and Pricing, incorporating delivery of regular KPI reporting, data analysis tools and technical platforms to enable effective performance management


• Delivering complex ad hoc analysis as required by the business


• Managing relationships with stakeholders to ensure they meet business requirements and SLA’s.


• Monitoring and reporting on data / data trends, making recommendations and managing any agreed activity to ensure a process of continuous improvement with regards to data and quality integrity.


• Ability to form proactive relationships with multiple stakeholders


• Delivering, interpreting and analysing MI to provide meaningful insight to Senior Management across multiple departments.

We are seeking a driven and dynamic individual with experience of working in business or finance analysis. You will have an understanding of the makeup of a P&L and will have the ability to interpret this to Senior Management and non-technical audiences. You will be comfortable working with large data-sets and making data-driven recommendations, and will be able to demonstrate confidence in communicating with stakeholders at all levels and challenging the business where necessary. Previous experience of working within General Insurance would be advantageous, but is not essential. In terms of software, you will have experience using Power BI and will be familiar with SQL.
