As part of our planned expansion, we are now seeking an experienced Pricing professional to join us and become part of our success story. The exciting new role will focus on shaping the pricing strategy for our Large Corporate Insurance portfolio with emphasis on Commercial Property and Casualty lines of business.
You will be responsible for the research, development, building and implementation of an Excel-based deterministic rating tool for large Commercial Property risks and for leading the maintenance and improvement of the existing Excel-based deterministic rating tool for large Casualty corporate risks. This will include derivation, conducting impact reviews, documenting results and updating its underlying input assumptions as well as communicating the impact of the updates on output prices to relevant stakeholders.
As part of your role, you will be proactively identifying and recommending pricing actions for resolving challenges, realising opportunities and implementing future pricing improvements to include the use of new and innovative pricing tools and methods with the aim of ensuring the continuous enhancement of the company’s pricing capability.

We are seeking an astute and diligent professional ideally possessing prior London market pricing experience. You will have extensive knowledge of insurance pricing techniques with relation to Commercial Property risks and additional understanding of Casualty corporate risks would be highly beneficial.
The successful candidate will have excellent numerical and analytical skills and will be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively build Excel-based rating tools. We are interested in hearing from candidates with strong programming skills ideally in SQL and previous experience or knowledge of R and/or Python will also be regarded as beneficial but not essential for the role.
As an experienced pricing professional, you will be able to confidently develop and secure agreement for product pricing strategies through formal governance and to make recommendations based on statistical pricing decisions to key stakeholders within the Pricing department and the wider business.
Applications are also welcome from professionals with experience from other regulated financial sectors such as banking or energy provided you can demonstrate prior experience with machine learning and predictive analysis.
One or more of the below qualifications would be highly desirable but please note that we welcome applications from all candidates who believe they can demonstrate the necessary skill set and experience for the role.
• A university degree with strong mathematical and/or statistical content
• An advanced degree in a quantitative field, preferably with significant emphasis on predictive modelling, data mining or machine learning
• FIA qualification or working towards/worked towards in the past
