Sitting within the wider Strategy and Marketing division, our Propositions team acts as the voice of our customers. The team develop, enhance and manage product propositions to ensure we effectively identify and meet the needs of our target customers, and help NFU Mutual deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
Due to an internal secondment this is a 12-month fixed term contract, as Propositions Manager you will lead a small talented team who will be reviewing a portfolio of personal lines insurance products, such as motor insurance. There will be an excellent opportunity to lead an upcoming strategic review which will provide fantastic visibility and will be instrumental to our future strategy.
You will maintain the competitiveness of our personal line’s products with regular product reviews, taking account of competitor development whilst fulfilling market and regulatory requirements. You will grow the personal lines insurance book with the development of appropriate product propositions aligned to target markets where we can be dominant, whilst championing the requirement for a positive customer experience and increasing the average number of personal lines products per customer and growing our market share.

NFU Mutual is happy to offer its employees informal homeworking. Our team is located in Stratford-upon-Avon and it would be expected that on average, 50% of your working time would be located from this office, with the remaining days home based should you wish.
You will be an someone with passion, who puts the customer at the heart of your work and will have a proven background within a similar position. You will have a proven track record of successfully leading and managing a commercial general insurance product portfolio. You’ll be motivated, keen to gain insight from both qualitative (e.g. market research groups) and quantitative (e.g. product performance data) to help the business make informed decisions
We really don’t expect you to have a crystal ball, but you will be someone who has their finger on the pulse of current and emerging trends, beyond just the insurance industry, and this will help you to spearhead change, influence innovation and to make sure we deliver best in class products to our customers.
