Based at our impressive Head Office in Stratford-Upon-Avon, our Pricing Department is a rapidly expanding function which focuses on delivering long term value for our customers rather than working to short-term profit targets. Following substantial investment in technology and with the contribution of a 70 strong team with a diverse skill set, the department is shaping to be a cutting-edge hub of expertise with ambitious growth plans.
As part of our planned expansion, we are now seeking an experienced Pricing professional to join us as a Risk Pricing Consultant with responsibility for building and managing our technical prices, using both data and judgement to form a ‘best view’ in order to achieve fair and accurate customer prices.
Liaising with various stakeholders across the wider business, you will be involved in a diverse range of pricing activities. This could include projects such as large-scale price builds, claims projections, and costing product changes and propositions. You will be assessing recommendations from a technical perspective with suitable judgement applied. The work that the Risk Pricing team carries out is all related to understanding the costs involved in writing insurance business, often providing insight and transparency to help the business make informed decisions.
This role also includes line management responsibilities to support the development of a small number of Analysts and Lead Analysts within the team together with excellent career progression opportunities. Additionally, it offers the rare opportunity to contribute to the shaping of the team’s ways of working from day one.
We are seeking a dynamic General Insurance Pricing professional who can demonstrate previous experience of leading and delivering a pricing project. Risk/technical pricing knowledge would be preferable; however this is not essential and consideration will be given for other areas such as modelling for instance. A strong Insurance Actuarial background would also be considered.
You will have a proven track record of analysing complex data, drawing conclusions and delivering commercially sound recommendations. You will possess the ability to take into account all relevant internal and external factors to formulate a comprehensive view of all relevant risks and deliver technical prices in accordance with NFU Mutual’s policy.
The role would be best suited to a strong communicator with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships at different levels and to effectively present complex information to non-technical audiences.
At NFU Mutual we continue to work remotely, when we do return to the office we will be working with a balance between home and office working.
We pride ourselves on being “a great place to work” and have again been presented with the Gallup Great Workplace Award. Along with a supportive culture you can also look forward to some very attractive reward benefits such as:
• Competitive salary
• Annual bonus (up to 17.5%)
• Contributory pension scheme (maximum of 12% company contribution)
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (additional holiday purchase scheme)
• Employee discounts
• Gym subsidy
• Health and wellbeing plan
• Discounted Insurance on all NFU Mutual Policies
