An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and professionally qualified Senior IT Auditor to join the IT Audit team within the Group Internal Audit Department of NFU Mutual on a full-time basis. The role, reports into the Audit Manager partnering our IT Division and will be responsible for performing IT audits as well as Programme Audits as part of an integrated audit team. Audits identified on our Audit Plan are conducted in accordance with departmental methodology, quality standards and best practice. The successful candidate must have a proven background in IT Audit and be CISA qualified, large programme experience and the CIIA qualification is desirable but not essential.
You will analyse, identify and prioritise financial, programme and operational risks within IT areas in order to contribute to the production of the annual audit plan. You will plan, perform and report on individual IT audits covering the agreed scope and objectives to defined timescales. Evaluate and advise on IT risks and internal controls against changing trends and market/external best practices to identify opportunities to improve internal controls aligned with risk appetite. You will prepare and issue high quality audit reports that record the findings, actions and timescales required to remedy risk and control weaknesses in accordance with departmental standards. You will conduct research and develop a detailed awareness of IT in NFU Mutual to ensure understanding of the business objectives, known and emerging IT risks and controls relevant to the company.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working as an Internal IT Auditor, ideally within a Financial Services company and will be CISA qualified. You will have proven technical knowledge and a strong understanding of a range of IT platforms, such as Mainframe, iSeries, Wintel and Cloud technology. You must have working knowledge of core IT processes including Change, Incident, Problem, Supplier, Service Continuity and Security Management (including Cyber Security). You will also have proven experience of auditing large-scale, complex IT projects and significant experience of end-to-end ownership and completion of IT Audit engagements, requiring minimal supervision to successfully complete assigned work. Effective stakeholder management is a key part of this role and you must be a strong and clear communicator with the ability to convey technical messaging to the business. You will be a team player and act as a mentor to the wider team, supporting and developing colleagues where needed.
