The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the dynamic T&C team in the GI Sales department (based at the Tiddington Head Office) as an Operational Assistant.


 


As the T&C Operational Assistant, you will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the GI T&C Scheme for the Agency Network through assurance checks, administering and maintaining processes and systems to meet regulatory requirements and in line with the long term objectives.

Job specification


  • Plan, deliver and report on GI T&C Scheme assurance checks to identify scheme risks and actions required to ensure remedial actions are completed for the Agency Network.

  • Recommend and implement improvements in collaboration with Group IT to maximise the effectiveness of systems and reporting in conjunction with GI T&C Scheme requirements.

  • Administer and monitor the application of the breach and discretion processes for the Agency Network and Mutual Direct to ensure scheme requirements are adhered to.

  • Support and advise the Agency Network and Field Management on queries relating to GI T&C scheme and systems to ensure the effective application.

  • Collate and report information on seller and supervisor numbers and competency status to meet regulatory and management requirements.

  • Update, publish and communicate updates to GI T&C guides, documents, tools, intranet pages and related training materials as agreed to ensure they are accurate and up to date at all times.

  • Deliver short term / one-off projects and activities as required to the standards and outcomes agreed with Line Management.

Person specification


  • Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data

  • Strong report writing skills

  • Ability to plan and organise activities over an annual period

  • Team working

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic training and facilitation skills

  • Numerate

  • Understanding or awareness of risk management

Qualifications/other


  • A Level calibre

  • Experience of T&C systems and Business Objects

  • Use of Visio (flow - chart design system)

  • Use of Microsoft package

  • Working with regulated T&C requirements

  • Previous experience of working within General Insurance with experience of GI compliance / sales
