About the role

We have an exciting opportunity available for an Underwriting Subject Matter Expert to join us as part of our most extensive change programme to deliver new products and services for our customers. This programme will see the transformation of our general insurance sales, policy administration and underwriting processes, as well as the introduction of a new platform to host a refreshed product range.

As we start to deploy the first release of the programme and build the second release, you will work in conjunction with the Business Implementation Manager to drive engagement with the programme across our Customer Services Division and Head Office and ensure business readiness by;

  • Acting as the conduit between the business and programme to ensure both parties are up to date and appropriate feedback is provided in a timely manner.

  • Designing and delivering presentations, webinars and online content to support the overall Customer Services & Head Office communications plan.

  • Establishing feedback loops with members of the Customer Services and Head Office teams to capture areas of interest and concern and proactively address.

You will develop a strong functional understanding of the changes introduced by supporting the testing approach prior to the first release, and you will support the Learning and Development team with the development of learning materials, by providing feedback on the identified learning needs of end users.

During the roll-out, you will play a leading role in planning for how the programme will support end users at the point of go-live through both in-person and remote support and, in conjunction with the Business Implementation Manager, you will agree a range of adoption metrics with the division to be tracked once the system has gone live.

At the point of go-live, you will identify common challenges experienced through anecdotal feedback and data analysis, and identify opportunities to proactively reduce these through end user communication and engagement. 

The role is based in Stratford-upon-Avon, however we offer the flexibility for you to work from the comfort of your own home for up to 50% of the time. There would also be a requirement for you to travel across our Regional Service Centres during the roll-out.

With the role being a part of a change programme, it is initially being offered as a Fixed Term Contract for 12-18 months.

About you

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated General Insurance professional with an Underwriting background who has experience of playing a pivotal role in systems change / transformation activity (ideally Guidewire).

It is vital for the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills having been used to operating within a business-facing role.
