What first attracted you to NFU Mutual?
NFU Mutual’s structured and professional graduate program stood out to me as a unique and exciting opportunity, coupled with their strong reputation for customer focus and mutual values.
How does the graduate scheme work?
I’m on the IT Infrastructure Products graduate scheme which gives me exposure to new technologies, tailored development opportunities, and the chance to work on meaningful projects that make a real impact.
How are you supported in your role?
I have completed numerous training sessions as part of the graduate scheme, to name a few: ITIL Foundation Course, AZ-900, Coaching, Effective Influencing.
What has been your proudest moment so far?
My biggest achievement has been stepping outside my comfort zone and embracing opportunities beyond IT, including contributing to the company by supporting the recruitment process for new graduates and interns.
What advice would you have for someone starting out?
As well as doing your research on the company’s values to show how you align with them, the main tip is to just be open and honest, as we want to see and meet the real you.
How did you find the onboarding experience?
The onboarding experience was excellent, very welcoming and well-structured where I got to meet other fellow graduates and have conversations with senior staff members as part of the ‘induction week’.
What is your current role?
I am currently working alongside Automation experts on optimising business processes by utilising tools such as UiPath, Azure DevOps, Power Apps.
