About the role

Here at NFU Mutual, we enjoy an enviable reputation for trustworthiness and honesty within the insurance industry. Within Pricing, our purpose is to support our business objectives, but do this in a way that enhances our reputation for integrity – in short, we aim to deliver fair and accurate prices.

We have a new exciting opportunity available for an experienced Pricing professional to join our Risk Pricing team and play a pivotal role in shaping the pricing strategy for our diverse commercial portfolio. You will be responsible for building corporate risk pricing models, developing bespoke pricing approaches, and enhancing pricing capability within the company’s underwriting community. You’ll benefit from early and increasing involvement in innovative projects, and with access to senior management and leadership teams, you’ll have ample scope and plenty of opportunity to make your mark.

From day one and regardless of your level of experience, you’ll become a valuable member of the Pricing team and a key contributor to the business, where you’ll have a voice, where you can make an impact and where you will continue to grow both personally and professionally. You’ll also find a genuine focus on collaboration and support, helping you become the best you can be, whilst at the same time enjoying a breadth and depth of work, we think you’d find hard to beat.

About you

We are seeking an inquisitive professional with strong Insurance Pricing experience gained within the General Insurance industry. You will have an excellent track record of setting prices for commercial lines of business, and the technical knowledge to work on large scale accounts.

As an efficient communicator, you will have the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences and to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

As a proven self-motivator, you will be able to work without supervision, organising your time efficiently and managing multiple work streams at once. With a proactive mindset, you will be enthusiastic about exploring new and innovative ways of working and driving change to enhance the team’s performance.

At NFU Mutual, we support an inclusive workplace and value all the differences that make us unique.  We celebrate the creativity and innovation that comes from diverse perspectives and experiences and share a common vision of doing the right thing for our customers and employees.

We recognise that some candidates may experience barriers during  the recruitment process. So, we encourage candidates to discuss any adjustments or accommodations they need to be the best they can be throughout our recruitment process.

We're proud to be a Disability Confident Employer, a Race at Work and Women in Finance Charter signatory and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, regardless of age, ethnicity, disability, neurodiversity, gender, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background.
