Apply nowWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a Development Underwriter to work with our General Insurance Sales Force and Service Centre to help drive the identification and acquisition of new business, gross written premium across mid-market commercial and Property & Liability. We believe that commercial business presents our biggest growth opportunity over the longer term and this is an opportunity to be an integral part of that growth.
Working in partnership with our tied Agency Network and Sales teams in the North West area you’ll support the development of new business pipelines and attend client visits as required, whilst underwriting your own personal caseload.
You’ll be a key point of technical excellence to the Agency Network and Sales Force, providing clear direction on NFUM Underwriting strategy, Risk Appetite and the technical knowledge and skills to deliver objectives, KPI’s and first-class customer service.
Using your market knowledge and expertise, you’ll apply a ‘whole account’ underwriting philosophy, working in collaboration with cross-divisional teams and supporting with the identification of new mid-market sectors and improvement of NFUM propositions.
The role is homebased and it is expected that the successful candidate will be on the road on average 3 days per week, covering Greater Manchester and Liverpool
